Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Deepsoch AI (“we”), which runs gameclip.run, collects, why, who it's shared with, and the choices you have. We act as the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For users in the EU and UK, we are the data controller under the GDPR.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name or gamer tag, email address and password, which is stored only as a secure hash. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google name, email and profile picture.
  • Payment details: a record of each purchase: the plan, amount, currency, status and the payment provider's reference. For purchases in India, also the billing details for your GST invoice: your state, and a business's GSTIN, name and address if you give them. Your card, UPI or bank details go straight to the payment provider. We never see or store them.
  • Your content: the links you paste, the videos you upload, and what we make from them. That includes clips, covers, transcripts of speech, edits and your brand kit settings.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and the time of each sign-in, kept with your sign-in sessions and in server logs for security. On the credits page we look up the country your IP address is in, on our own server, to offer the right checkout; the country isn't stored. That lookup uses GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service: fetching and editing your videos, keeping your library, and showing your credits and history.
  • To take payments, add credits, issue invoices and handle refunds.
  • To keep accounts secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To answer you when you contact support.
  • To send the one-time code that verifies your email when you sign up. We don't send marketing email without your consent.

We use your data because you asked us to provide the service, to meet legal duties such as keeping tax records, and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe. We don't sell your personal data and we don't show ads.

Who we share it with

Only with providers that help us run gameclip.run, and only what each needs:

  • Cloud hosting and storage providers, which hold the app, database and your files.
  • Our cloud video-processing provider, which downloads, transcribes and edits your videos.
  • Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Razorpay, which takes payments in India.
  • Dodo Payments, our merchant of record outside India, which takes those payments and collects the tax on them.
  • Our email provider, which delivers sign-up codes.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service. Some providers process data outside India. When they do, we rely on their contractual commitments to protect it.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Razorpay's and Dodo Payments' checkout pages may set their own cookies while you pay. Our cookie policy explains each one.

How long we keep it

  • Account details and your content are kept while your account is open. You can delete videos and clips from your library at any time.
  • When you close your account, we delete your account and content within 30 days. Backups expire soon after.
  • Payment and invoice records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, up to 8 years.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it where you gave consent.

You can also nominate someone to act for you. In the EU and UK, you can additionally ask to receive your data in a portable format, object to how it's used, and complain to your local data protection authority. Write to support@deepsoch.ai. We answer within 30 days.

Children

gameclip.run is meant for people aged 18 or over. Younger users may use it only with a parent or guardian's consent. If you think a child has given us data without that consent, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored only as hashes, and your files are kept in private storage, reachable only through links that expire. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we tell you in the app or by email first. See also our terms of service.
